The Commission Conducts its First Webinar, “65 Years of Fulbright in Egypt: Looking Forward to Interface with the New Vision for the Egyptian Economy”
In continuation of its 65th anniversary celebrations, the Commission conducted on March 30 a webinar titled “65 Years of Fulbright in Egypt: Looking Forward to Interface with the New Vision for the Egyptian Economy”. The webinar which took place at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt was the inaugural event of a new digital outreach project which will help keep us connected with our alumni in the United States and the different governorates in Egypt. It was watched live and played back within the first 24 hours by 159 viewers in the US, Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. In addition, forty participants, among which Egyptian university leadership, Fulbright Board and Egyptian alumni, attended the live event.
Speakers included prominent figures, namely: Dr. Khaled Ismail, Director, Center for Entrepreneurship, School of Business, American University in Cairo (AUC), & Member of the Presidential Specialized Council for Economic Development, who gave an overview in his talk on “The Economic Conference and Egypt’s New Vision: The Role of Entrepreneurship” and Dr. Mahmoud El-Gamal, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs American University in Cairo, who talked about “The Price of Oil and Its Influence on Upcoming Plans in Egypt”. Mr. Hisham Fahmy, CEO, American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt moderated the seminar and provided his perspective on the Egyptian Economic Conference…..
