U.S. Fulbrighter Conducts Research at Alexandria University
An alumna of Smith College is in Alexandria to conduct research on “How Digital Media is Transforming Egyptian Colloquial Arabic into a Written Language.” She is Ms. Zoe Kosoff. Ms. Kosoff studied Arabic at Smith and, in 2009, in Jordan. She took her B.A. degree from Smith in 2011, majoring in Arabic and linguistics. While in Egypt she is affiliated with Dr. Said Hassan, a professor of Arabic in Alexandria University’s Middlebury College Program. The Commission extends a warm welcome to Zoe!
