U.S. Fulbright Scholar Conducts Research at Helwan University
Dr. Shaden Tageldin, an associate professor of cultural studies and comparative literature at the University of Minnesota, has traveled to Egypt to continue her research on “The Imperial Genesis of Comparative Literature: Europe, Egypt, Syria 1834-1936.” In Cairo, Dr. Tageldin is conducting research at the American University in Cairo Library, the <b>Egyptian National Library< and Archives, and Helwan University. In Alexandria she is working at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Dr. Tageldin was educated at Harvard University (B.A. 1992) and earned her Ph.D. degree from the University of California – Berkeley in 2004. The Commission extends a warm welcome to her.
