U.S. Fulbright Scholar Begins Research at Academy of Arts
An American scholar from the City University of New York’s Hunter College has begun to conduct research at Cairo’s Academy of Arts. He is Dr. Christopher R. Stone, head of the Arabic division of Hunter’s Department of Classical and Oriental Studies. Dr. Stone was educated at Haverford College (B.A. 1987) and at Princeton University (M.A. 1996, Ph.D. 2002). While in Egypt he will conduct research on “Ahmad Zaki and Post-1967 Egyptian Popular Culture” while affiliated with the High Cinema Institute, of the Academy of Arts. A warm welcome to Dr. Stone.
