CASA III Fellow Begins Arabic Language Program in Egypt
Dr. Hosam Mohamed Aboul-Ela, an associate professor of English at the University of Houston, has begun Arabic language studies in the CASA III program of the Center for Arabic Study Abroad. Dr. Aboul-Ela was educated at the University of Texas (B.A. 1983, Ph.D. 1995), and is currently writing a book on The First Postcolonialists: critiques of Orientalism in the Arab World. He is studying Arabic at CASA under the auspices of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt. A warm welcome to Dr. Aboul-Ela.
