Egyptian Fulbright Alumni Perform At Cairo Opera House

On January 7 two Fulbright alumni, Yasser El Serafi and Mona Wassef, performed at the Cairo Opera House. As a 1997-1998 Fulbrighter, Yasser studied violin at Yale University. A 2004-2005 alumna, Mona was affiliated with the University of Arizona’s School of Music and Dance. Yasser is currently a concert master with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra and Mona is a Demonstrator at the Cairo Conservatoire. The Commission is pleased to have played a role in the development of these distinguished artistic careers.
