U.S. Fulbright Specialist Meets the President of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA)

U.S. Fulbright Specialist to Beni Suef University Dr. Douglas Raynie, Former Chair of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at South Dakota State University paid a visit to the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) to attend the meeting of the Pharmaceutical Studies Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities. Dr. Raynie addressed the deans and vice deans of the faculties of pharmacy representing the 27 governorates in Egypt and shared his Fulbright experience at the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research where he conducted his Fulbright project on “Plants Extraction: Advanced Tech-Based Solutions”. Dr. Raynie and the Fulbright team were welcomed by EDA President Dr. Ali Al Ghamarawy and Dr. Abdul Nasser Sinjab, Head of the Pharmaceutical Studies Committee. Dr. Singab is alumnus of the Fulbright Commission University Leadership Program (ULP) and Co-Chair of the Managing Committee of the Pharmacists Syndicate in Egypt.
