American Fulbrighters Visit Siwa

In early March American Fulbrighters and their families visited the famous oasis of Siwa in the Western Desert. The program was sponsored by the Commission’s Culture and Education Program. While enjoying the oasis, the Fulbrighters heard presentations on Bedouin culture and the history of Siwa by Mr. Abdel Aziz El Demeri, Director, Siwa Antiquities and author of Siwa Past and Present. Through its Culture and Education Program, the Commission helps its American grantees understand Egypt and its culture.
