Talaat Einshouka Excels as Humphrey Fellow
A Chief Police Officer with the Ministry of Interior has completed an AY2011-2012 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship in law and human rights while resident at the University of Minnesota. He is Mr. Talaat Einshouka. During his year as a Humphrey Fellow Mr. Talaat also enjoyed a professional affiliation with the Minneapolis Police Department and the Minneapolis office of the FBI. He explored the use of criminal information systems for the prevention and detection of crime, comparing American and Egyptian procedures and techniques.
He also wrote a paper for the FBI, detailing his vision for developing Egypt’s criminal information systems. “Mr. Einshouka was a pleasure to have as a Humphrey Fellow,” his coordinator said. “He was determined to deepen his understanding of new procedures and techniques for detecting and preventing crimes.” While in Minnesota Mr. Talaat spoke to student groups and others about Egypt and its culture. Our gratitude and regards to Mr. Talaat.
