Labor, Family Court Judge Concludes Humphrey Fellowship
Mr. Yussef Auf, a Labor and Family Court judge in the Giza Primary Court has successfully concluded a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship at American University’s Washington College of Law. A Fellow in the field of law and human rights, Mr. Yussef also pursued a professional affiliation with POMED, a Washington-based think tank that focuses on Middle East politics. He was also active in a range of other organizations, particularly with WCL’s Arab Law Students Association, which designated Mr. Yussef as a main speaker at its conference on “The impact of the Arab spring throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa.”
He also found time in his busy schedule to teach Arabic at American University. So successful was Mr. Yussef’s Humphrey year that the Institute of International Education has invited him to be an alumni speaker at its Global Leadership Forum, to be convened in Washington in October 2012. The Commission extends its warm congratulations to Mr. Yussef.
