Fulbright U.S. Distinguished Scholar delivered a keynote address at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University
Fulbright U.S. Distinguished Scholar Dr. Samah Selim delivered a keynote address at the 5th International Conference hosted by the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University. The conference, titled “Intersectionality in Literature, Language, and Translation,” brought together leading Arab and international scholars in the humanities.
An award-winning literary translator and Professor of Arabic Language and Literature at Rutgers University, Dr. Selim is renowned for her work on modern Arabic fiction and the intellectual and cultural history of the Nahda (Arab Renaissance). Her keynote address explored Feminist Criticism and the Arabic Novel. The session was moderated by Fulbright alumna Dr. Laila Galal Rizk (Ain Shams University).
