Fulbright- Egypt U.S. Speaker Series: Eco Friendly Smart Homes

The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) hosted a lecture on Eco Friendly Smart Homes by Fulbright U.S. Scholar Dr. Samir El Omari, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Platteville and Fulbright alumna Dr. Irene Samy, Director of Smart Engineering Systems Research Center at Nile University. The audience were welcomed by Dr. Waleed El Zawawy, Secretary General of the Council of Research Centers and Institutes at the Ministry of Higher Education, Executive Director Dr. Maggie Nassif and the Fulbright-Egypt team who gave a Fulbright exchanges information session.

Participants included center presidents, alumni and representatives from the following 17 research entities: the National Research Center; Nuclear Materials Authority; National Center for Educational Research and Developing; Desert Research Center; Central Metallurgical Research Institute; National Authority for Remote Sensing & Space; Smart Engineering Systems Research Center; City for Scientific Research and Technological Applications; Theodor Bilharz Research Institute; National Institute of Standards; Research Institute of Ophthalmology; Agricultural Genetic Engineering Research Institute; Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute; Electronics Research Institute; Housing and Building National Research Center; National Water Research Center and Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority.
