The Fulbright Commission in Egypt Celebrates International Museum Day 2024 at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC)
The Fulbright Commission was invited to participate in a panel titled International Museum Day 2024: Supporting International Scientific Institutions for Museums and Heritage Studies Hosted by the NMEC. The event was led by Dr. Said Abo ElFadl, Director of Museum Exhibition at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) Authority and the Treasurer of the Egyptian National Committee at the International Council of Museums and Dr. Nagwa Bakr, Director of the Training Department at NMEC. Attendees were among researchers and professionals at the museum as well as the ministry of tourism.
Fulbright opportunities were presented by Asser Hany, Assistant Programs Manager, and Batool Khaled, Program Officer, who shared information about the different Fulbright programs for graduate studies, researchers and professionals with a focus on the Fulbright Egyptian Scholar Program – Arts Management, Museum and Heritage Studies grant which provides research opportunities at U.S. institutions for Egyptian professionals and academics who work in arts and cultural management, or museum and heritage studies.
