Ambassador Daniel Rubinstein hosts Fulbright Alumni Annual Reception

U.S. Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim, to Egypt Ambassador Daniel Rubinstein, hosted a reception in honor of Fulbright Egyptian alumni and U.S. grantees in Egypt that was attended by Fulbright alumni: Minister of Tourism H.E. Mr. Ahmed Eissa; Senator Heba Sharobeem; Assistant Minister of Health and Population Dr. Anwar Ismail; Former Governor of Giza Dr. Khaled Adli; President of New Cairo Technological University Dr. Hisham El Deeb; and AUC Counselor Dr. Mohamed Hamza.
Guests included Minister of Irrigation H.E. Dr. Hani Swelam; Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Hazem Fahmy; Deputy Minister of Higher Education Dr. Yasser Refaat; President of American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AMCHAM) Mr. Tarek Tawfik; Head of Science and Technology Development Fund Dr. Walaa Sheta; Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Heba Zaki; Ain Shams University President Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteiny; Assistant Minister for Health and Population Dr. Ehab Kamal; and Chief Attorney in Cessation Court and Vice President of Judge’s Club, the Honorable Mahmoud Elmarghany.
Fulbright Commission’s binational Board of Directors was represented by Minister Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy Ms. Lauren Lovelace; Mr. Ray Miller, Founding Partner of Raafat and Miller Consulting; Mr. Wick Powers, Director of Education and Health at USAID; and Dr. Haitham Hamza, Head of Egyptian Missions at the Ministry of Higher Education.
Fulbright alumni and guests from academia and the public and private sectors were welcomed by the Fulbright team and Executive Director Dr. Maggie Nassif.
