Egypt’s Ministries of Education Strategies for Post-Covid-19 and Beyond: FULBRIGHT-EGYPT ALUMNI DIGITAL DIALOGUE SERIES
The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) was honored to cohost two webinars to unveil Egypt’s education strategies for post-Covid-19.
The first event aired on August 26th and featured Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ayman Ashour, who is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt and five senior administrators at the Ministry of Higher Education. Dr. Ashour was joined by BFCE Board members Dr. Haitham Hamza, Head of the Central Department of Missions and Ms. Helen LaFave, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, who both gave closing remarks. The webinar was also attended by colleagues from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) in Washington, D.C.: Ms. Sarah O’Sullivan, Fulbright Program Branch Chief, NEA Region, ECA; Ms. Ashley Gempp, Senior Program Officer, NEA Fulbright Programs, ECA; and Mr. Christopher Polillo, Public Diplomacy Desk Officer for North Africa at the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs of the U.S. State Department.
