5th episode of the Fulbright-Egypt Alumni Digital Dialogue Series on Distance Teaching and Learning
The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) aired the 5th episode of the Fulbright-Egypt Alumni Digital Dialogue Series on Distance Teaching and Learning: The New Normal on Wednesday June 24, 2020. The panel featured 4 experts on online instruction from 3 countries in 3 different continents:
Egypt, the United States and New Zealand. Professor Cynthia J. White, Pro Vice-Chancellor at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Professor Lisa Emerson, Director of Teaching and Learning (Fulbright Senior Scholar alumna -2013) at Massey University in New Zealand spoke on Lessons from Lockdown: Learning and Teaching Online in New Zealand. Professor Kirk Belnap, Director of the Arabic Flagship Center at Brigham Young University spoke on Seize the Day: Some Lessons for All from American Students of Arabic. Ms. Alia Shalaby, MA, Curriculum Specialist and Instructor at the School of Education at the American University in Cairo (Fulbright Student Program alumna -2018) spoke on Insights Into Remote Teaching and Learning in Egypt. Interaction from the audience who watched on Zoom and Facebook were moderated by Executive Director, Dr. Maggie Nassif and the Fulbright team.
