Fulbright Alumni Digital Dialogue Series on the Humanities at a Time of Crisis – April 15, 2020
On April 15, 2020 The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) hosted the first episode of its Alumni Digital Dialogue Series on the Humanities at a Time of Crisis.
Professor Shokry Megahed from Ain Shams University spoke on Re-establishing the Relevance of the Humanities: Texts That Join; Dr. Jackie Berry, Visiting Scholar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute gave a Psychologist’s Approach to Cooking and Cravings during Corona; while Dr. Walid El Hamamsy from Cairo University offered practical tips on Connecting at a Time of Isolation: Distance-Teaching in the Humanities. In closing, Alexandria University Professor Heba Sharobeem, shared her experience with using Teaching Resources in the Time of Coronavirus. Interaction from the audience who watched on Zoom and Facebook was moderated by Executive Director, Dr. Maggie Nassif and the Fulbright team.
