Winter and Spring 2019 Fulbright-Egypt Outreach Program
From January to April of 2019, the Fulbright program team traveled and met with the presidents, vice-presidents, professors, students as well as Fulbright alumni at universities in Aswan, Sohag, South Valley, Assiut, Minia, Beni Seuif, Fayoum, Port- Said, Suez Canal in Ismailia, Suez, Matrouh, Alexandria, Damanhour, Benha, Sadat City, Zagazig, Menoufia, Mansoura, Kafr Al Sheikh, as well as the Scientific City in Borg Al Arab. The team led information sessions and discussed opportunities offered by the Fulbright Program to travel, study, teach and/or conduct research at these regional institutions as well as universities in the Greater Cairo regions such as Cairo, AinShams, Helwan universities, the Academy of Arts and Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST).
The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) also hosted 2 Proposal Writing Workshops at The Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University in collaboration with the National Management Institute of the Ministry of Planning, Follow Up and Administrative Reform and at the Faculty of Arts at Helwan University..
The BFCE program team is comprised of: Dr. Maggie Nassif- BFCE Executive Director; Ms. Ranya Rashed- Director of Programs; Mr. Asser Wahib- Senior Program Officer; Ms. Iman Jamal- Senior Program Consultant; Ms. Reem Alfred- Program Assistant; Mr. Raheem Mikhail- Program Assistant; Ms. Noha Salah- Program Assistant; Ms. Mai Ayad- Program Assistant; Ms. Farida Bakry- Program Assistant and Ms. Nourhan Ahmed- intern. The BFCE team was accompanied on the visits by representatives from the Mission Sector at the Ministry of Higher Education.
