2017-2018 Fulbright Egypt Programs and Outreach News
Program News: 120 Egyptian students, scholars, and professionals traveled from 19 governorates to study at American Universities in 36 different states.
Outreach News: During the 2017-2018 academic year, the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) program team traveled to universities in 16 governorates: Fayoum, Zagazig, Menoufia, Aswan, Qena, Assiut, Minia, Suez, Ismailia, Port Said, Beni Suef, Benha, Mansoura, Alexandria, Sohag and the greater Cairo region which includes Helwan, Giza, Al Azhar and Ainshams where they advised students, met with leadership and conducted info-sessions on opportunities for travel and study in the US. The team also visited technical institutes in Matareya, Amireya, Alexandria and Portsaid to recruit for its Community College Programs. The BFCE program team is comprised of: Dr. Maggie Nassif- BFCE Executive Director; Ms. Ranya Rashed- Director of Programs; Mr. Asser Wahib- Senior Program Officer; Ms. Iman Jamal- Program consultant; Ms. Reem Alfred- Program Assistant; Mr. Raheem Mikhail- Program Assistant; Ms. Noha Salah- Program Assistant; Ms. Mai Ayad – Program Assistant and Ms. Sherry Gobran – Program Consultant. The BFCE team was accompanied on the visits by representatives from the Mission Sector at the Ministry of Higher Education.
