SUEZ CITY GOVERNOR WELCOMES BFCE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) and Dr. Desouky Eid, Vice President of Suez University and BFCE alumnus were received by General Ahmed Mohamed Hamed, Governor of Suez to discuss means for developing human capital in the Suez Canal region in general and Suez in particular. The Governor was also interested in meeting Dr. Jeff Milliagn, Director of the Learning Systems Institute at The Florida State University, who helped train Dr. Desouky with 20 other Egyptian educators in the field of technical education and vocational training in Florida in April and May of 2017 through a Fulbright Commission community college grant. Dr. Nassif informed the Governor of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt ‘s track record of training over 800 BFCE alumni at community colleges in the US since 2006. Dr. Nassif also provided information on Fulbright programs that are currently accepting applications:
