Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE), paid a visit to General Yassin Taher to discuss possibilities for collaboration, explore ways to support major national projects and develop human capital in Ismailia and the Suez Canal region.

Dr. Nassif was accompanied by two alumni of the Community College for Administrators Program (CCAP), Dr. Haytham Beheiry, Dean of the Maritime Construction Institute in Port Said and Dr. Tamer Aboueldahab, Deputy Director of the Hotel and Hospitality Institute in Portsaid, who shared their experiences in the U.S. with an audience comprised of educators, leaders in Ismailia local government, heads of municipalities, private businesses and members of the media.

The BFCE delegation was accompanied by Dr. Jeff Milligan,  Director of the Learning Systems Institute at The Florida State University, who hosted Drs. Beheiry and Aboueldahab with 20 other educators in the field of  technical education and vocational training. Dr. Milligan’s site visit to Egypt aims to measure the impact of the CCAP training the group received and discuss future professional development opportunities for Egyptians. In addition to discussing the community college programs that the Fulbright Commission has been offering since 2006, Dr. Nassif provided information on Fulbright programs that are currently accepting applications:
