U.S. Fulbrighter Studies Arabic at Al Diwan Center, Conducts Research at Helwan University

Ms. Sarah Sharp is pursuing Arabic language studies at Al Diwan Center, and will soon begin a research project while affiliated with Helwan University. Ms. Sharp graduated from Hampshire College in 2000 with a B.A. in Fine Arts. In 2006, she earned an M.F.A. degree from Savannah College of Art and Design in Fine Arts and Painting.  She is in Egypt under the auspices of the Commission’s U.S. Fulbright Student Program. While in Cairo she will conduct research on “Production and Exhibition: Contemporary Art in Egypt from 1990 to the Present”. The Commission extends a warm welcome to Sarah!
