Egyptian Student Pursues Ph.D. in Islamic Studies
An Assistant Lecturer at Al-Azhar University has begun Ph.D. studies at Brandeis University. He is Mr. Mostafa Mahmoud Hassan. Mr. Mostafa graduated from Al Azhar in 2003, earning a B.A. degree Hebrew Language and Literature in 2003, and took a master’s degree from his alma mater in 2009. While at Brandeis he will pursue his interest in Near Eastern and Judaic studies. He is in the United States under the auspices of the Commission’s Egyptian Fulbright Student Program. The Commission wishes him the best of luck in his studies.
