Commission Greets New American Fulbrighters with Orientation, Dinner

On September 14 the Commission convened an orientation for its AY2011-2012 American Fulbright grantees. The orientation was hosted by Mr. Marc J. Sievers, Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy, who spoke on “Fulbrighters as Cultural Ambassadors.”  Other Embassy personnel included individuals from American Citizen Services (“American Citizen Services:  how can we help?”), the Regional Security Office (“Safety and Security in Egypt”), and the Health Unit (“Staying Healthy in Egypt”).  The highlight of the orientation was a session on “Fulbrighters in Egypt:  tips on living and studying,” featuring four AY2010-2011 alumni.  Dinner followed, hosted at the residence of the Commission’s Executive Director Bruce A. Lohof and his wife Annemarie.
