Science Circle Alumni Join on a Nile Trip

 In Uncategorized

On April 30 members of the Commission’s Science Circle enjoyed late lunch on the Nile. Organized by the Circle’s leader, alumnus Hani Moubasher(University of California – Davis 2001-2002), Director of Cairo University’s Center for Environmental Hazard Mitigation, the cruise was an opportunity for members of the circle to socialize with each other and to hear Dr. Hani discuss “Human Impact on the River Nile.” While on board, the Circle exchanged plans for future activities. It is anticipated that the next meeting will be convened at Smart Village, northwest of Cairo. The Science Circle is among the most active of the half-dozen field-specific alumni circles supported by the Commission. Through activities like this, the Commission shares the expertise of its alumni with other members of Egypt’s academic community.
