U.S. Fulbright Student Conducts Research at Cairo University
A graduate of Wesleyan University has reached Egypt to conduct research at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. She is Ms. Arusha Gordon. Ms. Gordon earned her B.A. degree from Wesleyan in 2005, majoring in government, international relations, and peace and security studies. Since her graduation Ms. Gordon has worked for the United Nations Population Fund, the American Civil Liberties Union, and, most recently, for “Obama for America.” While at Cairo University she will study “The Grassroots of Development: Women and Microfinance in Egypt.” Ms. Gordon is in Egypt under the auspices of the Commission’s U.S. Student Program.
