U.S. Fulbright Student Conducts Research at Cairo University
A graduate of Boston College has reached Egypt to conduct research at Cairo University’s Center for the Elderly. She is Ms. Maryclaire C. Abowd. While at the Center Ms. Abowd will study: “Understanding the Social Identity of the Elderly in Egypt.” Ms. Abowd holds a B.A. degree in international studies, and Middle East and Islamic studies from Boston College, and has studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo and at Cornell University. She is in Egypt under the auspices of the Commission’s U.S. Student Program. … a warm welcome to Ms. Abowd!
