American Fulbrighters Visit Alexandria

On October 30-31 American Fulbrighters and their families visited Alexandria. The program was sponsored by the Commission’s Culture and Education Program. While in Alexandria the Fulbrighters enjoyed dinner hosted by Fulbright alumna Dr. Rachida El Diwani (Chatham College 2002-2003), a professor of comparative literature at Alexandria University. They also enjoyed a tour of the world famous Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized by its Chief Librarian, Dr. Sohair F. Wastawy. Through the Commission’s Culture and Education Program, American grantees benefit from unique access to sites to people and places throughout Egypt.
