American Fulbright Scholar Lectures At Alexandria University

On November 16 an American Fulbright Scholar, Ashraf Ghaly, lectured at Alexandria University. The presentation, “Recycling and Use of Solid Waste Materials in Engineering Applications,” was attended by graduate students in the University’s Department of Environmental Engineering. A member of the faculty of Union College, Dr. Ghaly is currently investigating the use of environmentally friendly recycling techniques in developing materials useful in engineering applications. He is affiliated with Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency, and the Housing and Building Research Center. Through programs like Dr. Ghaly’s recent lecture, the Commission’s grantees share their expertise with the larger Egyptian academic community.
