Egyptian Fulbrighter Reaches Out To Science World In The U.S. And Canada
An AY2005-2006 Fulbright Egyptian Scholar is reaching out to America’s mycologists. He is Dr. Ayman Daba, a biotechnologist at Egypt’s Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Institute who is currently studying at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. On April 28 Dr. Ayman spoke to the 10th Annual Symposium on Industrial and Fermentation Microbiology at La Crosse. On June 12 he will discuss work on mushrooms as medicine with colleagues at the Field Museum in Chicago. On July 8-12 he will attend the World Cancer Congress in Washington, DC. And on July 29 and August 2 he will present the results of his research to the Mycological Society of America and the Canadian Phytopathological Society. Through engagements like these, the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt’s Fulbrighters share their expertise with colleagues throughout the United States.
