Two Egyptian University Managers Attend Harvard University.
From July 23 to August 3 two senior managers from Egyptian universities will attend Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management. They are Dr. Ezzat Abdel Rahman, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Assuit University, and Dr. Maher Ahmed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Minia University. Drs. Ezzat and Maher are attending the Institute under the auspices of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt’s University Management Program, which is funded by British Petroleum Egypt. The Institute prepares administrators to lead and manage effective change in Egyptian higher education. On June 17-29 two other Egyptians attended Harvard’s Institute for Management and Leadership in Education. They are Dr. Soheir Gomaa of Benha University and Dr. Thabet Edrees of Menoufiya University. Through programs like this, the Commission is able to share new management strategies with institutions throughout Egypt.
