Egypt’s Fulbright Commission Reaches Out To Assiut University
On February 28 the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt called on Assiut University. The delegation was led by the Commission’s Executive Director Bruce A. Lohof, who was joined by Nevine Gad El-Mawla and Amal Salah of the Egypt Program Team. While in Assiut, the visitors were hosted by Fulbright alumna Mariam El-Deeb (Minnesota, 1995-1996). They presented seminars on the Egyptian Scholar and Student Programs, and Dr. Lohof briefed President M. I. Abdel-Kader and his Vice-President (Graduate Studies and Research) Magdy Abbas El-Akkad on the range of Fulbright opportunities available to their University. Through visits like this, the Commission is able to reach wider and deeper into Egypt’s academic and professional communities.
