Egyptian FULBRIGHT Scholar Visits American Primary School
On November 16 an Egyptian Fulbright scholar, Sherif Moussa, visited the Cora Kelly School in Alexandria, Virginia. At the Cora Kelly School, Dr. Sherif spoke with 7- and 8-year-old American children about Egypt, its culture and traditions, and about life in an Egyptian home. A lecturer in chemistry at Ain Shams University, Dr. Sherif is currently in the United States under the auspices of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt’s Egyptian Scholar Program. He is conducting research at Virginia Commonwealth University. Sherif’s visit celebrated International Education Week, which promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attracts future leaders from abroad to exchange experiences in the United States.
