U.S. Fulbright Scholar Conducts Research at Cairo University
A professor from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania has begun conducting research at the Faculty of Archeology, Cairo University. He is Dr. Karl G. Lorenz. Dr. Lorenz was educated at the University of Colorado (B.A. 1983), and the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign (M.A. 1988, Ph.D. 1992). He is in Egypt as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar and will conduct research on “Examining Cultural Unification in Late Predynastic Societies of Lower Egypt.” Dr Lorenz is in Cairo with his wife, U.S. Fulbright Scholar Dr. Kathleen Marie Cain, and their three children, Nick, Maria and Kieran. The Commission extends a warm welcome to Dr. Lorenz, Kathleen, Kieran, Maria and Nick!
