University of Windsor Professor Joins CASA III
Dr. Shauna F. Huffaker, an assistant professor of history at the University of Windsor, has begun advanced Arabic studies in the Center for Arabic Study Abroad’s CASA III program. Huffaker was educated at Boise State University (B.A. 1994) and the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (M.A. 1995). In 2008 she was awarded a Ph.D. degree from the University of California – Santa Barbara for her dissertation on “The Lay of the Land: property, gender and household in Cairo’s al-Darb al Ahmar District, 1450-1600.” A warm welcome to Dr. Huffaker on her return to Egypt.
