Fulbright-Egypt hosted its Annual Research Centers Meeting
On August 12, the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) hosted its Annual Research Centers Meeting which was attended by research center directors and Fulbright Egyptian Scholar Program alumni representing twenty prominent research institutions. Fulbright U.S. Scholar Dr. Lamar Yang from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln gave a talk on “Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces-Based (RIS) Wireless Communications and Networks”. Fulbright Junior Faculty Development Program (JFDP) alumna Dr. Lobna Said, Associate Professor of Engineering at Nile University, served as discussant. BFCE team led by Executive Director Dr. Maggie Nassif welcomed the guests who came from the following partner institutions: the Agricultural Research Center, Central Metallurgical Research Institute, City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications (SRTA-City), Consulting and Community Institute of National Planning, Desert Research Center, Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority, Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, Electronics Research Institute, General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes, Housing and Building National Research Center, National Authority for Remote Sensing & Space Sciences, National Center for Educational Research and Development, National Institute for Intellectual Property, National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, National Institute of Standards, National Institute of Transport, National Research Center, National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, National Water Research Center and Nuclear Materials Authority.
