BFCE visits the Geographic Association of Egypt, November 2024

Fulbright-Egypt Executive Director paid a visit to the Geographic Association of Egypt which was established by a Royal decree in 1875. The Egyptian association is the oldest geographic association outside Europe and the Americas. Dr. Maggie Nassif was welcomed by Dr. Ismail Youssef, the Administrative Director, Ms. Ibtessam Ismail, Deputy Director and Dr. Samira Adam, Mapping and Surveying expert to discuss ways for collaboration to host U.S. Fulbright Specialists to support the association. Dr. Nassif was impressed by the valuable collections of the museum and libraries which include more than 30,000 volumes; 325 journals; 12,000 historic and modern maps.
