BFCE team participates in the CIFF and the Cairo Industry Days, November 2024

The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) participated in the Cairo International Film Festival and the Cairo Industry Days with a panel discussion which featured the following Egyptian Fulbright alumni in the fields of arts, film and cinema, acting, directing and dance: Yasmeen ElHawary , actress, director and dancer; Mokhtar ElDenary, actor, dancer, choreographer and trainer; Youssef Hesham, director, producer, writer, festival programmer, and lecturer. Moderated by Ms. Noha Salah, Senior Program officer, the Fulbright alumni shared with the audience their experience on the different grants they travelled on and shared their achievements and contributions to the field while on the Fulbright program and following their return to Egypt. Dr. Maggie Nassif, BFCE Executive Director highlighted the role of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt in supporting the art scene, the industry, and the artists in Egypt since its establishment and throughout the previous 75 years. During the panel, Ms. Mai Ayyad, Senior Program Officer, introduced the different opportunities that the Fulbright Commission in Egypt offers to support the different art fields and Egyptian art scene.

شاركت هيئة فولبرايت مصر بحلقة نقاشية في مهرجان القاهرة السينمائى الدولى ضمن حيثيات “أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما” وتم التركيز على مناقشة تجارب بعض من خريجي برنامج فولبرايت في مجالات الفن والسينما والرقص المعاصر حيث شارك فى الحلقة النقاشية كل من الممثلة والمخرجة والراقصة المصرية  ياسمين الهواري، والممثل ومصمم الرقصات والفنان مختار الدينار، والمخرج والمنتج والكاتب ومبرمج المهرجانات  يوسف هشام. كما شارك خريجي منح الفنون المختلفة الذين تفتخر بهم الهيئة قصص نجاحهم الملهمة مع الحضور وبعض من إنجازاتهم في المجال خلال مدة البرنامج وفور عودتهم لمصر.

وقام الفريق بقيادة الدكتورة ماجي نصيف المدير التنفيذي للهيئة بعرض إسهامات هيئة فولبرايت مصر في دعم المجال الفني والفنانين منذ نشأة الهيئة منذ 75 عامًا. وعرضت الأستاذة مي عياد، مسئول برامج أول، البرامج المختلفة التي تقدمها الهيئة لدعم وتطوير المجال في مصر. أدارت الحلقة النقاشية الأستاذة نهى صلاح مسؤول برامج أول.
