Fulbright-Egypt participates in the 3rd Egyptian Dates Marketing Forum
Governor of New Valley, Major General Mohamed Al Zamalout welcomed Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt who traveled to Al Kharga to attend the 3rd Egyptian Dates Marketing Forum. The event was attended by Governors of Matrouh, Major General Khaled Shoeib; Governor of Aswan, Major General Ashraf Attiya; Governor of Assiut, Major General Essam Saad as well as members of the parliament and prominent figures in the field of agriculture from academia and the public and private sectors. In attendance was Dr. Mahmoud Sakr, President of the Egyptian Academy for Science and Technology whose partnership with the Fulbright Commission supports human capital development in the fields of Climate Change and Food Security on various levels. The Commission delegation – which included Senior Program Officer Ms. Mai Ayad; Operations Officer Mr. Ramez Girgis and Community Engagement Consultant Dr. Mervat El Samman – was given a tour of the various projects in Al Kharga which represent public-private partnerships to support innovation and entrepreneurship to produce dates, silk and local handicrafts.
Fulbright-Egypt Executive Director receives the Shield of New Valley Governorate
Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt was honored to receive the New Valley Governorate shield which was presented to her by His Excellency Governor of New Valley, Major General Mohamed Al Zamalout at the 3rd Egyptian Dates Marketing Forum held in Al Kharga City.
Executive Director meets Governors of New Valley, Aswan, Matrouh and Assiut
Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt was honored to participate in the 3rd Egyptian Dates Marketing Forum held in Kharga City and have the chance to meet the Governor of New Valley Major General Mohamed Al Zamalout; Governor of Matrouh Major General Khaled Shoeib; Governor of Aswan Major General Ashraf Attiya and Governor of Assiut Major General Essam Saad. The Fulbright Commission has been extending its Fulbright Program recruitment plans to cover more regional governorates.
