Outreach visit at Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute, August 2023

The Fulbright Commission in Egypt team led by Executive Director Dr. Maggie Nassif accompanied by Program Officer Ms. Batool Khaled was pleased to visit the Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute in Tebeen. The team had the honor of meeting the President Dr. Ibrahim Ghayad and the Deans and Department Chairs. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mervat El Samman, Fulbright Advisor for Community Engagement and Dr. Ibrahim Emara from the Commission Inclusion and Access Initiative. The conversation focused on several collaborative projects, especially hosting U.S. experts to support the institute’s efforts to produce assistive devices for people with disabilities. The team also gave an information session on Fulbright opportunities to study and conduct research in the U.S.
