Excellence in Scientific Research Conference: The Future of Knowledge Production in Egypt
The Chair of the Fulbright Commission Board, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, hosted the Excellence in Scientific Research Conference: The Future of Knowledge Production in Egypt. The conference was attended by 450 Egyptian scholars, among the highest-rated scholars in the world, representing the 27 Egyptian public universities and 11 research institutes operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with the Egypt-Japanese University. 25 university presidents were in attendance coming from Cairo University, Alexandria University, Ain Shams University, Assiut University, Tanta University, Mansoura University, Menoufia University, Minya University, South Valley University, Benha University, Fayoum University, Beni Suef University, Kafr El-Sheikh University, Sohag University, Port Said University, Damanhour University, Aswan University, Damietta University, Sadat City University, Arish University, Luxor University, Matrouh University, and the Egypt Japan University for Science and Technology. The conference also welcomed the heads of 11 research centers operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
رئيس مجلس إدارة هيئة فلوبرايت معالي وزير التعليم العالي يستضيف مؤتمر التميز في البحث العلمي: مستقبل الإنتاج المعرفي في مصر، بحضور 450 عالمًا مصريًا من أكثر العلماء تميزًا في النشر العلمي يمثلون السبعة والعشرون جامعة مصرية حكومية، والإحدى عشرة مركزًا بحثيًا تابعًا لوزارة التعليم العالي، بالإضافة إلى الجامعة المصرية اليابانية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا. تحدث الدكتور أيمن عاشور عن أهمية البحث العلمي ودوره في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة بالدولة في الفترة القادمة مشيرًا إلى أن الهدف من هذه الفعالية هو بناء اقتصاد المعرفة، وتحويل الابتكار إلى اقتصاد، مؤكدًا أن دور البحث العلمي في تحقيق الإستراتيجية الوطنية للتعليم العالي والبحث العلمي يتمثل في رفع عدد وجودة الأبحاث، ربط البحوث التطبيقية بالجهات المعنية بالتطبيق والاستفادة من مخرجاتها، وتوجيه المشروعات الممولة لخدمة احتياجات المجتمع.
