The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt hosted a reunion for alumni of the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program. The reunion took place at Pharos University, Alexandria, as part of the “Brave New Humanities: Empowerment through Literature, Translation, and FLT” Conference, where the Fulbright team, led by Executive Director, Dr. Maggie Nassif, was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation and Fulbright alumna, Prof. Sahar Hamouda, and Prof. Ramadan Abo El-Ella, Vice President of Community Service & Environment Development Affairs, who is also a Fulbrighter. The reunion included 70 Egyptian Fulbrighters who came from all over the country to discuss ideas to remove the language barrier, improve proficiency and create pathways to address the educational needs of our local communities.
