BFCE Visits Alamein International University

Dr. Essam Elkordi, the President of Alamein International University, and Dr. Hesham Gaber, the Vice President for Academic and Educational Affairs, received the Fulbright Commission delegation led by Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt, Ms. Mai Ayyad, Senior Program Officer, and Mr. Hesham Farid, Admin Assistant. The team was accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Kassab, representing the Ministry of Higher Education’s Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector. The meeting included discussing aspects of cooperation between the Commission and Alamain University to send Egyptian students and scholars to study and conduct research in the U.S. and to host American scholars.

The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Yehia Abu Shady, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Gihane Gewifel, Advisor to AlU President for Internationalization and International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Remon Iskander, Director of Engineering Programs, Prof. Dr. Nashwa Shaker, Director of Programs at the Faculty of Business and Assistant Prof. Dr. Islam Elgedawy, Representative of the Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering, and Fulbright Alumna Prof. Dr. Alaa Abouelfetouh, Representative of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The delegation was pleased to visit the university buildings and labs and see the facilities of the city of Alamein and were impressed by the infrastructure and capabilities.
