Executive Director, Dr. Maggie Nassif speaks at the University of Benha’s International Conference on Higher Education Development : Global Variables and International Standards

The conference was held on January 22, 2019 under the auspices of Benha University’s President Dr. Hussein El- Maghrab and BFCE’s alumnus of the University Leadership Program (ULP) and the Governor of Qaluobia Dr. Alaa Abdelhalim Marzouk. The Keynote speech which was titled ” Effective Strategic Planning in Higher Education Institutions” was given by Mr. Stephen Chadwick, Director of Strategy, Planning and Change at the University of Bristol.

BFCE Executive Director, Dr. Maggie Nassif spoke on the role of the Fulbright Commission over the last 70 years in supporting Egypt’s research agenda and its human capital development. Among the prominent speakers were : Prof. Abdelrahim Hunaiti – Assistant Secretary General of the Union of Arab Universities; Dr. Ghada Eid, Vice President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE); Prof. Sultan Abu Orabi- Former Secretary General of the Union of Arab Universities, who spoke on “The Realities of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Arab World” and Dr. Nadia Badrawi-Chair of the Committee on Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Restructuring at the Supreme Council of Universities  who spoke on the “Future of Medical Education in Egypt”
