Commission Hosts Alumni Reunion
On March 14, the Commission’s Board of Directors and staff hosted a reception in honor of Egyptian alumni and American Fulbrighters. The event provided the perfect opportunity to introduce new alumni to Egypt’s Fulbright community. Enhancing communication among Fulbrighters – Americans and Egyptians, alumni and grantees – is among the Commission’s constant objectives. In her welcoming remarks, the Executive Director, Ms. Elizabeth Khalifa, introduced new alumni to the Commission’s alumni circles in arts, education, humanities, and sciences in addition to the recently formed HHH Alumni Forum for professionals.
In addition, Ms. Khalifa announced three initiatives of the Commission’s Alumni Office and they are: a. Twinning Humanities circle with Fulbright Alumni in Morocco. New exchange opportunities with Northern Michigan University for alumni in cultural studies and c. Fulbright Ambassador Recognition Award. The Commission is grateful to the many Fulbrighters who attended the reception and for its active alumni circles for enhancing the exchange of knowledge aspect of the program in Egypt.
