U.S. Fulbrighter Conducts Research at Cairo University
An American Fulbrighter has begun research on education and translation in nineteenth-century Egypt while affiliated with Cairo University. She is Ms. Archana Prakash, a doctoral student at University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Prakash studied Arabic at the University of California – Berkeley in 2006 and in 2007-2008, and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2007 with a degree in history and print journalism. While in Egypt she will pursue her research while affiliated with Dr. Mohamed Afifi Abdel Khalek Afifi of the University’s Faculty of Arts. The Commission extends a warm welcome to Archana!
