Fulbright Commission is Represented at Humphrey Gathering in Washington
From October 27 to November 6 the Manager of the Commission’s Egyptian Team, Ms. Nevine A. Gad El-Mawla, represented the Commission at the Global Leadership Forum. Attended by nearly 200 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellows – including three Egyptians and Fellows from 84 other countries – the forum was hosted by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Included in the forum were activities and presentations on “the Legacy of Hubert H. Humphrey;” “Diversity in the 2008 Presidential Election;” “Mapvest: A Strategic Tool for Planning Change;” and “The Seven Revolutions and the Seven Futures.” While in the United States Nevine enjoyed consultations with colleagues at the U.S. Department of State and cooperating agencies in New York and Washington. She also met with several Egyptian Fulbrighters who are studying in the Washington area, and with alumnus Louis Alvarez (Academy of Arts 1993-1994) of the Center for New American Media in New York.
