U.S. Fulbright Student Conducts Research at Ministry of Trade and Industry
A recent graduate of Smith College has reached Egypt to conduct research at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. She is Ms. Azmi Ahmad. Ms. Ahmad earned a B.A. degree at Smith earlier this year, majoring in economics and government. While affiliated with Dr. Mona Al Garf, Lead Economist in the Ministry’s Technical Office, Ms. Ahmad will study Egypt’s trade relations with China and the United States. Prior to pursuing her research at the Ministry, Ms. Ahmad is studying Arabic at the Arabic Language Institute under the auspices of the Commission’s Critical Language Enhancement Award (CLEA) Program.
