U.S. Fulbright Student Conducts Research at Center for Political Research and Studies
A graduate of Georgetown University has reached Egypt to conduct research at Cairo University’s Center for Political Research and Studies. He is Mr. Matthew Axelrod. While affiliated with the Center’s Director, Dr. Abdel Moneim El Mashat, Mr. Axelrod will study Egypt’s strategic relationship with the United States. Mr. Axelrod earned an M.A. degree from Georgetown in 2003, and is in Egypt under the auspices of the Commission’s U.S. Student Program. Prior to pursuing his research at the Center, he is studying Arabic at the International Language Institute in Cairo under the auspices of the Commission’s Critical Language Enhancement Award (CLEA) Program.
