Two Egyptian University Managers Attend Harvard University
On June 17-29 two senior managers from Egyptian universities will attend Harvard University’s Institute for Management and Leadership in Education. They are Dr. Soheir Gomaa, Vice President of Benha University, and Dr. Thabet Edrees, Dean of Menoufiya University’s Faculty of Commerce. Dr. Soheir and Dr. Thabet are attending the institute under the auspices of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt’s University Management Program, which is funded by British Petroleum Egypt. The Institute prepares administrators to lead and manage effective change in Egyptian higher education. From July 23 to August 3 three other Egyptians will attend Harvard’s Institute for Educational Management.
They are Dr. Ezzat Abdel Rahman of Assuit University; Dr. Ibrahim Ashour of Suez Canal University (Ismailia), and Dr. Maher Ahmed of Minia University. Through programs like this, the Commission is able to share new management strategies with institutions throughout Egypt.
